Knowledge, the magnitude of catchable fish quota, becomes something important for the utilization of fisheries resources to remain sustainable. This research was conducted in July–September 2017 in the waters of Pangkep regency of South Celebes Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to calculate the quantity of demersal fish quota that can be captured to keep fish resources sustainable. Data analysis in this research were the calculation of catch per unit effort (CPUE), maximum sustainable yield (MSY) and utilizaton rate by Schaefer method. The results showed that the trend of demersal fish CPUE in Pangkep regency for the past 5 years increased slightly. The value of MSY is 1207 tons/year with an optimum effort of 337 units. The average utilization rate of 5 years is 87%, indicating that the utilization of demersal fish resources in Pangkep regency is fully exploited.
